BRIGHT TRIP

I have worked as a Director with Edutainement startup Bright Trip on multiple projects in the travel / documentary genre. The company’s overarching goal is to make travel easier by offering content that is entertaining, full of information and easy to follow.

This means that nothing is left to chance, from the writing where directors need to guide the expert writers into creating engaging scripts that rely heavily on visual learning and a « show, don’t tell » philosophy, the filming to provide the highest quality of illustrative shots and « on location » talking heads possible to the editing to balance out information and entertainment to keep the viewers engaged and learning.

As a Director for this small operation, my level of involvement was changing from project to project. On « How it became Paris », I wrote the entire script and filmed all the on-location footage with famous lifestyle YouTuber Nathaniel Drew in Paris as a host.

I was also involved to varying degrees in courses about the Northern Lights and the Te Araroa hiking Trail.

I also wrote, filmed, hosted and edited several 20 minute documentaries and Youtube videos, as well as a full ski touring course created for the platform Nebula.
